Maria Regina students have a special relationship with the people of Soibada, a remote village in the mountains of Timor Leste. Our school was the birthplace of Pittwater Friends of Soibada, formed by one of our parents and which now encompasses individuals and organisations throughout the Northern Beaches. Each year we celebrate the Timor Leste Iindependence Day. Pupils are given a “uniform free day” and come dressed in the colours of the Timorese flag: red, white, black and yellow.
